Summer Rolls On

As you have probably noticed from the lack of content on here lately, I have been doing more fishing than writing. The post spawn big fish bite still hasn't really taken off for me yet. I have caught some decent fish and keep expecting it to really turn on anytime now but for whatever reason it just hasn't yet. 2018 has definitely been my worst year of catfishing in a long time. Hopefully things pick up soon.
Regardless, I have still been out there putting my time in. You can't catch them from the couch as the old saying goes. Here are a few of my better catches lately. All of them have come while trolling. TVA's generation schedule and my fishing schedule just haven't been in alignment to allow me to drift.
I have still been using the electric motor on my kayak and seem to love it a little more every day. It has expanded my range and opened up a lot of areas that were previously inaccessible to me. The motor has also been a great tool to have on all those days that I have had to troll due to lack of current.
Even though I haven't caught as many big fish as I would like, I have still had a lot of fun exploring new areas of the river. I am going to just keep doing what I do and putting my time in. I will find the big one again eventually. It is just a matter of time.
